Manhattan bedrock

While walking in Central Park one Sunday afternoon, I've noticed that Manhattanites love sitting on rocks.  This particular type known as Manhattan Schist is native to the region, and they are essential to the landscape.

Coney Island

 

Summer came and went so fast.  One of the highlights this year was shooting on the boardwalk in Coney Island during golden hour. (In frame: Tresy C.)

This is an event that I don't go out to every year (for obvious reasons).  But the one year that I do, I felt like I was cheated, since clearly the sunset was not aligned perfectly with the grid.  Still, a magical moment, and happy to be out there again.

 Recently my wife had the opportunity to perform in a community theatre event.  This basically means a good majority of the cast were not professional actors.  Everyone was amazing!
