And the darkness comprehended it not..

It's more than just a photo of blurry lights.  My inspiration for this picture came from a reading of a Bible verse, John chapter 1, verse 5.  When accurately translated it reads "The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it" (I am aware that there is another interpretation).  Obviously the writer is referring to Jesus, the light of the world.  But how true indeed that for most of the world, they recognize that he is good.. but don't really have grasp on what He's about.. hence the blurry lights.

Portrait

There is nothing quite like shooting portraits in good natural light.  I find the strobes and speedlites fascinating, but to me, this is what photography is really about. (Model: Raye Mira Fuentes. More from this shoot here.)
