Monument Under Construction

It's not the typical sight when you visit DC.  The Washington Monument caged from top to bottom, fully under construction.  I guess even these types of buildings need maintenance from time to time.

The Mermaid

All the elements were there to compose a great photo...  a seashore, a rock, a mermaid wearing a graduation gown.  I'm proud of this one.

Shelter Island Sunset

Shelter Island, NY.  This is one of the nicer sunsets I've seen.  Unfortunately I left my camera bag at home for this trip.  Still, not too bad for a camera phone shot.  You don't actually see the sun in this shot, but it was more about capturing the glow.

Book Cat

Most people have book worms, but we have book cats.  That's right, they spend most of their day hanging around books.. reading and researching all sorts of materials that interests them.  On many occasions they've even been known to fall asleep while reading.

Best Dessert

It's a piece of fried ice cream (BKNY Thai Restaurant, Bayside, NY).  I've imagined eating 10 of these all by myself.  But that is something I will NEVER do.

Cat & Box

Another photo from last summer's VBC.  We all know cats love to jump in boxes, hide, stick their paws out, and just play.  So when I saw a human doing it, I had to take a picture.

Cat's Eye

I have probably taken more photos of my cats than anything else.  I guess you can say they are always available to model for me.  Here Cleo is gazing out the window late in the afternoon.  I like how the natural light just falls on her face.

At the right place, with the right people.. at just the right moment

We sat down for a meeting.  I told everyone to show me their most interesting face.  I took the shot, and here is the result.  A bunch of beautiful people, aren't they?

Here's Imaani.  This kid is probably the most photogenic person I've ever met.  You'd think that this is an ad for Target or something like that.
