Rushing Waters

It's not a giant waterfall, but large enough.  Awosting Falls is about a 60 foot drop.  While there are days when this falls is calm and peaceful, this was not one of those days.  This is the closest I've been to a waterfall.  I'm standing not more than 10 yards away from the rushing waters. It's one of the better landscape photos I've taken.  What caught my attention was the house that looks like it was built into the mountains.

Pure Comfort

I am glad to have captured this moment!  At only a few weeks old, Liam knows the source of all his nourishment, security, and comfort.

Sweet Potato Cake

Picked up at a local bakery in Flushing, NY.  It's the first time I've tried a cake with these ingredients.  Who ever thought you could make a cake with sweet potato?  Anyway, I wasn't too crazy about the taste, but it was nicely designed!

Welcome to the world little one!

Liam Justus Shih was born on February 15th, 2014, weighing in at 8 pounds 2.39 ounces, and 20 inches tall.

Chinese Burger Store

(Location: Elmhurst, NY)  At first I thought this was a racial slur, but I think it's a place I'd like to try someday.

 This is another one of her famous expressions.  She's actually expecting a new sibling soon.

Eating Fire

Location: Governor's Island.  I found most of this performance to be disturbing, but at least it was an opportunity to practice with high shutter speeds.  Captured a few good facial expressions too.

Experimenting with taking shots of the Manhattan skyline.  This one was taken at Gantry Plaza State Park around sunset... just when the city lights began turning on.

Kangoo Jumps

I spotted these shoes during Summer Streets on August 17th.  They are called "Kangoo Jumps", and are being offered at Crunch Gym.  Basically they are shoes with built-in trampolines.  Very interesting...  I think I would get to places much faster if I had a pair of these.  I have yet to try them.
