DUMBO

I finally got a chance to visit the most popular location to take a photo in New York City.  They call this the "magic shot", when the Empire State Building is perfectly framed within the support structure of the Manhattan Bridge.  Getting the shot at night is a real pain, especially with that bright street lamp shining in your face.  Definitely need a tripod, and a very long exposure.  I'll be back to try again someday.

The Grandest Shot in NYC

Over the years I must have been in here hundreds of times, but never took a shot until recently.  There is so much a photographer can do with this place, and I am sure I will be back again with a camera in the near future. (Grand Central Station, New York City)

KTOWN NYC

When in Manhattan, this is a street worth walking down.  Korean food lovers will not be disappointed.  And check out the aerial bridge in the distance; a rare piece of architecture from the previous century. (32nd Street & 5th Avenue)

Rain Day in May

I hate rainy days, but they do provide opportunities for interesting photography.  This shot was taken in Midtown Manhattan (Herald Square).

Late Bloomer

Spring in NYC means cherry blossoms everywhere.  This particular tree hasn't quite bloomed yet, but I'm looking forward to when it does. (Queens, NY)

If it's true love, put a padlock on it...  At least that's what they say here in the city.  I found this one in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan. #lovelock

34th Street Manhattan

I find myself walking here a lot these days.  This is the city; people, yellow taxis, expensive stores, Empire State Building.

Night before the Storm
